2025 WNBA All-Star: Hoosier Hero Tamika Catchings
Known as the heart of Indiana basketball, Tamika Catchings has always used her platform to give back. Through her Catch the Stars Foundation and numerous community initiatives, she has made a lasting impact on the next generation and the city she calls home.
That commitment was on full display during the 2025 WNBA All-Star in Indianapolis, where I had the opportunity to work alongside Tamika, capturing her involvement in more than a dozen events across the city. From youth clinics to luncheons, wellness programs, community celebrations, and even the unveiling of a mural honoring her significant contributions off the court and her dedication to youth development, every moment reflected her belief in empowering others through sports, education, and character.
Basketball, for Tamika, has always been far more than what happens on the court. Her vision for community, mentorship, and opportunity shows that being a true “All-Star” isn’t measured in points or championships but in the lives you touch, the doors you open, and the inspiration you leave behind. Watching her in action during the All-Star Weekend made it clear: leadership, heart, and service are what define a real champion.
